Decoding Dyslexia North Carolina is a non-profit 501 (c)(3), organization that aims to raise dyslexia awareness, empower families to support their children, and inform policymakers on best practices to identify, remediate and support students with dyslexia in North Carolina public schools.

 

International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), NC Triangle Chapter
President (2010-2012), VP of Operations (2009 to 2010) / VP of Membership (2007 to 2009)
As president, led the strategic planning of volunteer-driven board that delivered career development and face-to-face networking opportunities for professionals in corporate communications, marketing, public relations, public affairs, writing, editing and similar fields.

  • Out of 100 chapters worldwide in 2011, the NC Triangle Chapter was recognized as #3 in double-digit growth and #4 in retention.
  • Spearheaded chapter’s first all-day workshop with national speaker, an event that attracted close to 100 attendees.
